Your privacy is important to us. This brief statement summarizes our privacy policy. Click here to view Canadian North's Complete Privacy Policy

Purposes and Consent

Canadian North uses your personal information to provide you with the airline services that you request, facilitate payment, ensure your security, enhance your flight by allowing you to make personal choices and provide you with further information about our services. To tell us that you do not wish such information, e-mail websupport@cdn-north.com.

If you are a member of a third party customer loyalty program, such as Aeroplan®, we also collect your personal information as part of your participation in the program, and will provide the relevant information to the loyalty program.

This web site may use "cookies;” small text files inserted on your computer to identify your computer as you view our web site and provide you with an enhanced e-commerce experience. Cookies are never linked to your personal information. Finally, Transport Canada regulations require that we collect, retain and sometimes disclose to Transport Canada certain parts of your personal information.

By providing Canadian North with your personal information you are deemed to have consented to its use for the purposes described above.

Types of Personal Information Collected

Canadian North collects and uses basic contact, nature of request and payment information, including credit card information, in order to provide our service. You are not required to provide credit card information, except when you wish to complete your payment and confirm your reservation from this web site. We also collect certain optional personal information, such as special meal requests, so that we may better serve you.

For passengers having special needs, such as unaccompanied minors, law enforcement officials, and persons being transferred for medical reasons, we collect additional information relevant to such needs.

Disclosure to Related Organizations

Canadian North will generally not disclose your personal information to third parties. However there are exceptions:

If you are a participant in a loyalty program and provide us with your program identifier, we will disclose the required personal information to the program.

From time to time we use third party sub-contractors to provide certain services such as reservations. While your personal information is disclosed to such parties, they are required to comply with Canadian North's privacy policy and not use or retain your personal information for their own purposes.

If information about your flights is anonymous, so that the individual customer is no longer identifiable, then it is not personal information anymore. We may disclose anonymous information at any time to anyone we choose.

If Canadian North, in whole or in part, is acquired by another company, your personal information will be transferred to the new company along with the rest of the assets, provided that the company either agrees to abide by Canadian North's then existing Privacy Policy, or agrees to notify you forthwith about any proposed changes to the privacy policy and allows you an opportunity to request that your personal information be deleted. Canadian North will disclose your personal information without your consent as required by law or permitted by Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

Changes to Our Policies

At some time in the future it may be necessary to make changes to our Privacy Policy. In such case we will notify all active customers, such as those who have submitted and maintained a personal profile, of the changes. They will have an opportunity to withdraw their consent to the collection, use or disclosure of their personal information.
