(On Day 6 444/445 will operate with a Boeing737)

This new schedule allows Canadian North to increase the frequency of service from Calgary to Norman Wells and Inuvik to six days per week with same plane service through Edmonton. This supplements the existing six day per week service to Yellowknife, via Edmonton, in the evenings. The direct Calgary/Yellowknife flight will not operate during this time of reduced business and oil & gas related travel. The expectation is that the non-stop service will resume again for the increased fall exploration travel season.

Canadian North Cargo leases Dash-8 freighter to meet increasing cargo demand by providing dedicated freighter service into Yellowknife and the Mackenzie Valley. This newly leased Dash-8 freighter will provide Yellowknife, Norman Wells and Inuvik with enhanced cargo services by offering weekday cargo-only flights. On Saturdays, a 737-combi aircraft will provide oversize lift and additional capacity for general cargo. The addition of the Dash-8 freighter will provide a significant increase in air cargo capacity to meet the growing demand for cargo uplift throughout the Mackenzie Valley. The F-100 service will also allow for daily belly-loaded freight capacity.

Canadian North announces schedule and aircraft changes to Edmonton/Hay River/Yellowknife Service

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                                                             June 12, 2006

YELLOWKNIFE, NWT ... Canadian North announced today that it would be dedicating a newly leased Dash-8 turbo prop aircraft to serve the Hay River/Edmonton route. The aircraft goes into scheduled service on June 18, 2006 as follows:

Day         Flight   Depart                    Arrive
1-3-5-7 5T468   Edmonton 1120   Hay River 1330
1-3-5-7 5T469   Hay River   1350   Edmonton 1600
1-3-5-7 5T469   Edmonton 1645   Calgary 1745

In announcing the introduction of the Dash-8 service, Tom Ruth, President, Canadian North said: “The Hay River market is very important to Canadian North. However, recent changes in the northern competitive market have necessitated the requirement to consolidate some selected flight segments.

Current traffic levels between Hay River and Yellowknife do not support the use of our larger, jet aircraft, and in order to maintain the current schedule between Hay River and Edmonton, the decision was made to lease a Dash-8 to operate that route and to suspend the Hay River/Yellowknife service.”

He continued saying: “We will be monitoring traffic volumes into Hay River as we expect future passenger traffic to increase as the economic base in that market continues to develop. We will re-evaluate our service levels and adjust schedule and equipment as required.”

Kelly Kaylo, Vice-President Marketing & Sales at Canadian North believes the Dash-8 is the right aircraft for the Hay River market.” The Canadian built, 37 seat Dash-8 is the right sized aircraft to serve the Hay River market in an efficient manner.” She said. “It is comfortable and very reliable. The aircraft is equipped with 2x2 seating, washroom and overhead storage bins. In-flight service will continue,” She also noted: “The schedule continues to provide convenient connections out of Edmonton and Calgary.”
