Canadian North will also add a new Kitikmeot inter-community Dash 8 flight on Fridays, with service between Yellowknife, Gjoa Haven, Kugaaruk and Taloyoak, and will move existing flight 478 service for Kugaaruk to Wednesday (from Saturday).

These flights are now available for booking on the web at canadiannorth.com, by calling Canadian North at 1.800.661.1505 or by speaking with your travel agent.

With the addition of these new flights, Canadian North will now offer 737 jet service to and from the Kitikmeot every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, in addition to daily Dash 8 Combi service throughout the Kitikmeot.

The following is a day-by-day summary of Canadian North’s upcoming Kitikmeot schedule:

Cambridge Bay serves as an integral passenger and cargo hub for Canadian North’s Kitikmeot operations. The introduction of an additional 737 Combi flight between Yellowknife, Kugluktuk and Cambridge Bay will provide more seats to and from the Kitikmeot and will facilitate the movement of important freight via Fetchable (www.fetchable.ca), Canadian North’s 24/7 online cargo service offered in partnership with BBE Expediting Ltd. As with all of its Combi flights, Canadian North will continually adjust the seating and cargo mix to efficiently meet customer demand.

“Canadian North is proud to be a safe and reliable airline partner to the Kitikmeot and we are excited to launch this enhanced schedule,” said Nancy Potts, Director of Commercial Services for Canadian North. “We will continue to work hard to earn the support our customers, stakeholders and friends across the Kitikmeot with warm hospitality, competitive pricing, efficient operations and the opportunity to earn Aurora Rewards points towards free Canadian North flights.”
