Canadian North is proud to announce that is has expanded its fleet to include a Boeing 737-300 aircraft. This new model adds a third type of aircraft to its fleet, including Boeing 737-200 planes as well as de Havilland Dash 8 aircraft.

“The addition of the 300 is an exciting first step for us in our fleet renewal strategy,” states Canadian North’s Vice President of Operations, Steve Hankirk. “The increase in demand in our charter operation, coupled with the strong operation on the scheduled side of our business, has allowed us to move forward with this new aircraft.”

The 737-300 aircraft offers several desirable features, including:

  • A passenger capacity of 136 (the 200 series can accommodate up to 112 passengers)
  • A lower fuel burn
  • Lower maintenance costs
  • A longer flight range

By adding the 737-300 model to its fleet, Canadian North now operates nine 737-200 aircraft, four Dash 8 aircraft, as well as an additional three to four Dash 8 aircraft that it leases each day.
