January 24, 2017 - Canadian North announces post-codeshare flight schedule

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 24, 2017 Canadian North is pleased to announce its new post-codeshare flight schedule which will begin operation on May 17, 2017 and is now available for booking through all sales channels – by visiting canadiannorth.com, calling 1.800.661.1505 or speaking with your travel agent.

This schedule, which includes the expansion of upgraded 737-300 service to Canadian North’s Trans-Arctic route, a return to an earlier departure time for its daily Ottawa ⇄ Iqaluit flight and a resumption of Canadian North-operated flights to all communities in its network of 19 destinations, is summarized below:

“On behalf Canadian North’s almost 700 team members, I am pleased to announce the upcoming launch of a superior flight schedule that brings our Polar Bear back to all our Northern communities." said Steve Hankirk, Canadian North’s President. “We have listened closely to our customers and designed a schedule that will offer expanded jet capacity and additional scheduled flights for our medical, duty, corporate and leisure travellers and will enable us to accommodate even more groups and cargo.”

With the addition of a second Boeing 737-300 Combi, Canadian North customers will be able to access this newer, larger and more comfortable aircraft type on even more routings, including the daily Mackenzie Valley and Iqaluit-Ottawa flights and across the Arctic twice per week on the Yellowknife-Rankin Inlet-Iqaluit route. All scheduled 737-300 flights will feature inflight entertainment.

Affected Canadian North customers who booked their travel prior to this announcement will be re-accommodated on the flight closest to their existing flight times at no additional cost.

Canadian North continues to compete for passenger and cargo business in all markets by offering independent pricing initiatives, flights and promotions. Canadian North customers can earn Aurora Rewards points and Aeroplan Miles on all flights booked through Canadian North and Beneficiary customers who book through Canadian North continue to have access to reduced Pivut fares. As Pivut fares are offered at a substantial discount, this fare is not available on all seats, so it is recommended to book travel well in advance.
